THE FALSEHOOD OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES
CHAPTER IV
THE FALSE TEACHINGS ON SALVATION
Bro. Vinayadas Abraham
According to Watchtower’s teaching, there are four necessary requirements for salvation – (a) "taking in knowledge" of God; (b) "to obey God's laws."; (c) "be associated with God's channel i.e. his organization (the Watchtower)." and (d) "God requires that prospective subjects of his Kingdom support his government by loyally advocating his Kingdom rule to others" (The Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1983, pp. 12, 13).
The first two requirements are mentioned in order to camouflage the other two self-invented requirements of the Watchtower Society. The third and fourth requirements have been given more importance than the first and second. Jehovah’s Witnesses insist – without any Biblical support – that association with the Watchtower Society and “salesmanship” of its publications are the requirements for salvation! What a blasphemy! The undisputed requirement for salvation as found in the Scriptures is as follows:
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Rom. 10:9)
The other Biblical term for the above confession and belief is “being born again”. The actual birth in this world can be called bodily birth and our rebirth can be called spiritual birth. Without one being born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God as taught by Lord Jesus Christ repeatedly.
Since Jehovah’s Witnesses reject the Deity of Lord Jesus Christ, the above requirement for salvation as taught by the inspired Word of God, is null and void for them. Therefore, they are not “saved” in the Biblical terms. By rejecting this free gift of salvation, the Jehovah’s Witnesses are heading towards hell! Now Jehovah’s Witnesses might reject the Deity of Lord Jesus Christ, but a day is coming when they would bow their knees before Him and confess through their mouth that He is the Lord, as confirmed by the following verses of the Bible:
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Phil. 2:10 & 11)
